Southampton Port: London via Salisbury, Stonehenge & Windsor

One of the best Gothic cathedrals in Britain was constructed in Salisbury in the 13th century, and the city's medieval core is beautiful. After an hour in Salisbury, you'll head out to visit Stonehenge. The route from Salisbury to Stonehenge winds through picturesque villages and the rural English countryside, through ancient churches and quaint thatched homes.

Your tour guide will fill you in on the mythology and history of Stonehenge before you even get there. Many people consider Stonehenge one of the most intriguing mysteries of the ancient world. I couldn't tell if it was a temple, a clock, a cemetery, or what. When you arrive, there will be time to explore and take an audio tour around them (entrance price not included) or peruse the gift store.

After spending 90 minutes exploring Stonehenge, you'll head to Royal Windsor for a late lunch. After that, you'll have free time to tour the town and its imposing castle. Admission to Windsor Castle is not included (it is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Your guide will tell you about its history from William the Conqueror to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Visit the historic district and nearby Eton instead of Windsor Castle if you'd rather avoid the crowds. At 16:00, the coach will leave Windsor for Heathrow, where it will drop off passengers at key hotels commencing at 16:45. Please include your hotel and airport terminal when making your reservation. Shuttles drop passengers off at Terminals 1–5.

The next step is a short drive into central London from Heathrow Airport. The accommodation drops off will be handled by the guide. Hiring additional vehicles or taxis (which are included in the price) may be necessary to ensure the hotel drops are finished as quickly as possible. There are 250 hotels and certain mainline train stations in London where you can be dropped off.
